Feng Shui in My Home Library!

I have one room dedicated to being a home library. I’m quite proud of it. But when I was informed by a couple of friends that their home libraries are up to 30,000 volumes, I felt a momentary pang of jealousy until I thought about all the dusting they have to worry about!

Dust and dirt seems to collect much more quickly in Marrakesh than any other place I have lived. I know it’s not so bad in America, also with homes that have windows and doors which seal much better.

I’m in the process of sorting through all my books (at least 3,000). I’ve just about finished. According to Feng Shui, each and every item in your home has an invisible energy cord to you, that creates a positive, or negative, feeling. Books which give you a negative feeling are a form of clutter.  I’ve been getting rid of books that were passed along to me, that I’ve had in my library for years, but never read, and don’t think I ever will read. I’m keeping all the books that I might read again, or haven’t read, but think I will.

Now, when I go through my home library, I truly feel like every book in there is calling out to me in a positive way.
