Four Feng Shui Questions to Help You Decide If It’s Clutter
According to Feng Shui expert Jayme Barrett, there are four questions to ask yourself when trying to decide if something is clutter.
1. Do I use it?
2. Do I need it?
3. Do I love it?
4. Does it make me happy, or create a positive memory?
Clutter can also include family heirlooms that aren’t really your taste, but that you feel you need to “babysit” out of guilt or duty. An example might be a piano, or pictures. The question to ask here is, “Is the piano being used?” With photos or paintings that deplete you, sometimes the person who gave it to you comes to visit once or twice a year. It is possible to hang up the painting or photo just for their visit, and then remove it.
Every item in your personal space has an energy field. Every item in your space either energizes, or depletes you. Clearing clutter is about getting rid of the items that deplete your energy, and leaving only those things that energize you.

I have a quick question – I am painting my front door red, as it faces South, and I am pretty sure I am not supposed to paint both sides, but……I am not entirely certain. Should I paint just the one side red (the side facing out to the street) or both sides?
Thank you,
Kelly

I recommend painting just the outside red.
